A new song! Or an old song refurbished, as I actually wrote this one years ago about one of the (many) lunatic woman I was dating at the time.
(Not that ALL the women I dated were crazy. Truth is for all the crap Taylor Swift gets for writing song after song about her exes it’s a trap that’s pretty hard to avoid…)
The funny thing is *I* was the one who was actually the crazy one for ignoring the steady stream of red flags, so happy to not be single anymore. But hey, haven’t we all had at least one relationship we questioned our sanity on years later? The journey continues…
I originally wrote all the parts to this tune using a Roland JV1080 synth. Revisiting it allowed me to update the drums (thanks Neil Peart), play real bass, and add all sorts of cool electronic goodies (thanks Native Instruments).
You won’t hear it in this tune, but I’ve been listening to nothing but Rockabilly for the past few months. Going to see the Stray Cats at Viva Las Vegas Rockabilly weekend in a month. CAN’T WAIT!
Here’s a photo of from the Sky Room in Long Beach. Because how many selfies can one man take?
